A fat and old man starts to give us a lecture about how to tie shoes. He begins the lecture with his own experience. He bought nice shoes. Those shoes came with round nylon laces and he couldn’t keep them tied, though he had a confidence in tying. So, he went back to the store and said to the owner, “I love this shoes, but I hate the laces”. He took a look and said, “you are tying them wrong”. After this story, he tells the audience the usual way people tie is wrong and weak and teach how to tie strong, which is tying the knot by going the other direction around the loop.
He concludes that sometimes a small advantage someplace in life can yield tremendous results someplace else, from the lecture.
